FAQs
I know there are many questions people may have when considering a candidate, i have found the following to be some of the more common and telling questions i have been asked
What is your management style?
I operate by the phrase “I take accountability, not credit” and I’ll never speak for anyone without getting their confirmation first. Whether it comes from the CM or the Designer side of things, I make sure to treat them all like people first and give them the respect of thorough communication rather than constant assignment and workload.
What do you love the most about this role?
If I'm being honest, I love being able to share the accomplishment of the team with them and being able to work on something that has lasting impact. Digital media leaves an everlasting footprint and I like that it is something I will always be able to look back on. (unless it is something like an IG story of course)
What has been your favorite project and why?
I worked on a project that was tied to a theatrical release (NDA signed) and there were a few low level video edits tied in with it. I had previously spoken with our asset manager about their future career goals and realized that they tied in with edits. After getting the permission of our Creative Lead, I was able to assign them to our Asset Manager, with supervision. This collaboration ultimately led to their promotion and running their own division of the company along with a department wide shift in workflow that boosted productivity.
